1.8 Diesel Fuse Box Part Numbers

Featured Replies

Had been having issues with my focus killing the battery overnight. Took it to a garage they couldn't figure it out so found a mobile mechanic who specialises in electrical systems. He narrowed the fault to the fuse board and suggested I find a part second hand as new they are just a wee bit expensive.

The fuse board fitted has a part number of 7m5t-14a073-CC

The first question is can I fit a fuse board which has the same part number with exception to the last number?

The second question is does it then need reprogrammed? Or will it be fine as a straight swap?

Third question is if I find one the same part number will that need any programming or just a straight swap?

Many thanks, hope someone knows more than I do!

Last number should read letter... Ie instead of CC, it would end CB

CC board-

CB board-

I believe that as long as you get a board with the same or higher end letters you'll have no problems with functionality.

I believe it may need programming onto the car, I'm sure someone can confirm this?
