Reverse Gear Grinding

Hello,

Can't identify what it is, sometimes when putting in reverse, the gear doesn't go in and makes a grinding noise.

The car has 98k miles on the clock and is a model from 2006.

Is it the clutch ? or is it the gear box, I hope it isn't.

    Common issue on 5 speeds. My car does it, quite irritating. I heard that it is something about reverse not having synchromesh. Try putting the car in first then reverse, tends to go in fine then. Or take your foot off clutch, then press it again and select reverse.
