    you need to combine the results with going back the way as well to get an accurate result.

    for example, if it was downhill all the way there I could get 99+ mpg on the way there, but maybe only 40 on the way back,

    still, 500 miles of 3/4 on a 55l tank is good going, I'm a little to heavy on the old right foot to get those kinda numbers.
