Hi,

Has anyone experienced this problem I am suffering.

I have a 53 reg Ka 1.3

Generally it starts and runs fine, however recently after a trip it miss fired badly on starting and the engine management light came on.

It was reporting a misfire on cylinder 1 and showed it was running rich.

This made sense because at the time it did smell like it was running rich.

The engine management light was reset and has done the same thing a couple of times, every time it would seem to be fine starting from cold but after a hours driving the issue appears.

I have changed the plugs,leads and coil pack with no improvement.

I am thinking it could be an injector issue?

Any advice would be appreciated

    Injector is a probable cause, though it could also be one of the head sensors

    Thanks for the reply,

    I decided to take a chance and replace the injector

    It was indeed a faulty injector.

    Strange how it didn't always show the fault, must have been the injector going faulty when hot.
