Fitting Mk2.5 Side Mirrors To A Mk2?

Are the mk2.5 side mirrors identical in connection to the mk2. Coming from an alfa 147 i'm really missing the aspherical part which ensures that you see cars in your blind spot. Or are the replacement mirrors for the mk2 that include the blind spot curve?

    Apparently the mk2.5 units are not interchangeable with mk2 units. I think that the mountings are different. It could probably be done with some modification but as standard, no.
