Focus Mk 2 1.8 Tdci Estate Rear Springs Banging

Featured Replies

please can anyone help me i recentley replaced the rear springs and shockers and roll bar links on my focus estate since replacing i have had a constant banging on the right rear side im currently on my third set of springs thinking that is the problem ??

can anyone give me any ideas as to what is causing this problem as it begining to drive me mad :censored:

Is the anti-roll bar fixed securely to the crossmember that's what I would look at first and the drop links are not overly tight? In an ideal world everything should be torqued.

hi many thanks for your reply i shall check these out at the weekend and update you then.

ideally you need the car up on a ramp (ones with arms so the wheels hang freely) and check the suspension to see what is going on.

if a ramp isnt available then put it on axle stands and check it.
