Key Fobs

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Bit of an annoying one this, and its got me confused.

To cut a long story short, I bought a used Focus with one key fob and one manual key. The fob didn't work at all, obviously checked battery, tried to reprogram, nothing. Bought a blank one off eBay.

After mixing and matching the parts, I've got one key fob that works to open the doors and starts engine, but the remote control doesn't work. And the other one works as a remote control but won't start engine.

Would be nice to have one that worked as a remote and also in the ignition. Any tips? Have tried as many combinations of the circuit board, back, front, and blade as I can think of!

there is a procedure to pair the keys with the central locking module, something along the likes of turning the ignition on and off 4 times and when you hear a beep to press the lock and unlock buttons, im not sure if the same procedure applies to the MK1
