Weird Noise On Idle

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my Fiesta makes a really weird noise when idle, I can't even describe it, but it sounds like in this video:

The car seems to be running fine, no issues really, but it just doesn't sound healthy. A comment for the video says it's water pump, but another person on yt said he changed the water pump and that didn't help. Any ideas before I spend money on a repair?

Could be water pump, could be a dry bearing on one of the jockey wheels for a drive belt. Squirt a drop of WD40 on the jockey wheels and see if the noise go's or changes.

Hi guys,

Quick update: new cam belt, new water pump, noise still there... Car runs absolutely fine, temperatures ok, AC works fine. Another garage tomorrow, maybe they will find the cause.
