Hi guys/girls am wondering if anyone can advise-

we have a 2005 ka and when the engine has warmed up (after 5 min approx) the air from the blowers gets really hot, even when the control is set to cold.

Its as if the temperature control isnt working.

I have changed the heater control valve ( i got one from ebay as Ford quoted £60 for one)

this made no difference.

I then changed the heater control unit/facia ,

this hasnt changed anything either.

Fuses appear to be ok.

everything else seems to be working correctly in the cooling system.

I am just wondering if the control valve may be a faulty one from ebay and if anyone has any ideas of anything else to check before i buy a valve from ford.

    Changed the valve to one bought from Ford and no change. Still red hot air- well if anything it is hotter.

    I should be able to try a known working control unit (switch) in the next day or so to try.

    I also put in a pollen filter which had been taken out at some point as wasnt one there.

    I have heard there is a heater resistor in the passenger footwell does anyone know if this is just for the blower to work or does it serve another function?

    Is it an electrical hot/cold control or manual? Sounds like a mechanism could be jammed in hot
