Cagey
That's still 10 more than my 1.0 125 :) Really I used to get between 59-61 out of my 125 I found it was very economical so long as you didn't go near a motorway.
Philf1
It is an incredible car its just so much fun and when you take it down a notch it still does 46mpg its currently at 46.1mpg as I've been stuck behind some slow drivers with no way past but I cannot grumble at that for a sporty car :) 46 mpg really? I've only ever got that on motorway more like mid 30's for me less if booting it. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app Yes I was shocked I was normally doing around 38mpg but I changed the way I drive slightly and its shot up. It probably has been helped as its been a bad week for slow drivers. Normally I overtake as its big wide national speed limit road to work but I couldn't get past this week and thats the difference. I have just gone out and taken a picture. Which should show here but if not its just in my Gallery.

Yeah mate, that's the thing about some of the fiestas, it's the putting the foot down if only for a split second that can kill the petrol. I know mines not an ST, but it's still the overtaking that really sees that needle drop.

Yeh they need to really work on speed and economy so you can drive everywhere fast and still do decent MPG.
jace1969
Wasn't looking for one, seen it so checked it out and liked the 1.6 as more power so tried and tested. Very nippy,LOADS of stuff on it,stuck to the road and driving feels so good, just fell for it and the drive and how fast it was 'great' ( ok not ST speed ) but still dam nippy. Spoke to chap who had it from new and he spent loads on extras when he had it new. Only 1 main thing i had to get over was the road noise/grind that they have
darvvader
For me it's because of my first car. After I passed my test at 18, I had a small budget and with the extortionate insurance fees I had to get a car that was reliable and affordable, up stepped the MK6! I got a gleaming, shiny, quick, nippy, red Fiesta MK6 with 70,000 miles (the 1.25L one!) for £2100 to go with my insurance of £1600. I loved it, never wanted to get rid of it, all the way up to the last milliseconds before I hit the **** that pulled out on me. Wrote it off, but it protected me and my girlfriend and meant we walked away (relatively) unscathed! Got a Fiat Grande Punto to replace it because I needed a car quickly, and hated every drive in it! Treated myself to a Fiesta Zetec S 61-plate back in March and it's utterly surpassed my expectations! Love the thing, great handling, very nippy, economical, comfortable! David73
When deciding we didn't need two cars we sold both and midsized. The idea of an automatic appealed. But it would have to be a torque converter type, not automated manual. So that meant Fiesta, Hyundai i20 or Kia Rio. There happen to more Fiestas to choose from on the forecourts. The big car was a turbo diesel so the Fiesta is gutless at 70mph and took a bit of time to get used to. But it doesn't have a heavy lump of ironmongery in the nose and the response to the steering is superb (I wonder whether it approaches the Alfasud I had ...cough... years ago). Much better seats too. The software making the gear decision is not as good as Hyundai. 0-60 in 13.5 seconds looks feeble but then most people spend 4 seconds faffing with the clutch.
alexh89
I love the way they fly round corners with virtually no understeer. In fact I've managed to get a little oversteer in mine a few times
mikeyd1
I always liked mk6 then the mk7 I thought they was alright I was into focuses at the time then my mate got a zetec s and I thought that's nice then I decided to downsize from my focus st. 2.5 for something cheap and see my fiesta titanium on forcourt and just new it was for me the only thing I would of preferd the 1.6 to the 1.4 but thought hey I'm always in traffic and 9 times out of 10 I can never go past 30. The body kit made all the difference. But lately I've had ecoboost on my mind lol

Brilliant little car. Traded again for a Titanium X with mountune's MR165 kit. Amazing little machine that ecoboost is :)
