2 Minor Problems

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am having trouble changing Spark Plugs - HT Leads don't want to come off :/

another problem I am having is that the Radio Antenna doesn't want to unscrew - forced to hand wash the car ;p

Any clues?

Hi.

Sounds like your leads might be corroded where thet grip the sparkplugs. Try twisting the ends back and forth a few times and see if that helps. Failing that brute force might be the only way!!

Regarding the ariel, squirt some WD40 down onto the base and leave it to soak in for a rew hours and retry.

Hope this helps :)

Had to do it the brute-force way - it was the spring inside holding it I guess.

The aerial still doesn't want to go off ;/

Don't use WD40, use a proper penetrating solution, like Plus Gas.

That damn thing still doesn't want to unscrew!

Will need to change I guess - I fear previous owner glued it lol
