I'd also expect the air filter to be changed at this mileage & that hasn't been mentioned ?

I would do it myself next time, all you need is a Jack (and stands), a torx set and a 1/4" socket set to change the oil and all filters and you could do it all in an hour if you get used to it

i personally dont let the garage touch my oil/filters, always do them myself, that way i know its been done properly

the only time i go in is when i need work done that requires a lift. even then i am watching, and sometimes they let me help too so that i can learn.

Isn't there any places near you that you could hire a lift/ramp at?

I did used to do it myself mate on the old car, it's pretty simple in all honesty but I wanted to keep the service book up to date with this being a newer car that's all, it sounds a lot but looking at other local garages it isn't really that much, and it was a garage I've always used and they've always been pretty honest with me and other family that use them
