Wing Mirrors Wont Fold

Hi I have just bought a 2008 Fiesta tdci from what I have read although it has electric adjustable mirrors the presence of a dot on the adjuster indicates that the mirrors do not fold automatically. My question is should the mirrors fold in manually as mine seem to be fixed thank you

    adjustable mirrors just means you can adjust where they are via the key pad on the drivers door. Folding mirrors when the car is turned off are available but I do not know if they were there in 2008

    If you have folding mirrors there will be a pushbutton by the adjuster , if this is the case you need to go into the car settings and tick the option that folds mirrors with key

    correct me if im wrong but i think shes asking if you can fold the mirrors in yourself by simply pushing them towards the car so that they fold. and yes you can do that with a little force (well, you can on the mk7.5 and mk6) and so i dont see why not on the mk7. :)

    All mirrors should fold in (whether manuallly or automatically) for safety reasons.

    Some just need a bit more effort to shift.
