Odometer Reading Problem

Featured Replies

Hello. For some time now my odometer has not been showing clearly. This is not the case for trip meter.

The display seems to be washed out on some numbers, on trip meter it happens when millage reaches 100.

You can still read the millage off the display.

Will this affect MOT in any way?

Faulty led board it will need replaced and its not cheap.

Removing the facia unit isnt that easy from what i can gather from the manual and it could end up a disaster if you dont follow where all the wires and bits and bobs go back.

Better to leave well alone!

I doubt it would affect the MOT only your chances of punting it on!

Didnt quite get that last bit hehe

So u are saying it should pass the MOT

Its not on the MOT checklist and mot is only to make sure your car is fit for the road so the odometer reading is only germaine in a selling situation!

Ie Punting it on!

I hope that elucidates somewhat!

Pardon mon Scot-glais!
