Hi everyone

I am due to pick up my car this afternoon Ford Fiesta Titanium with ford sync 1. When I took it for a test drive, attempted to sync phonebook to see if it would work and couldn't get it to do it, I could receive calls, but my phonebook would not download. Does anyone have any clues on how to do this? My husbands phone which is a samsung did this straight away.

Any help would be much appreciated, as I can see this really frustrating me. The sales guy couldn't do it either.

If i recall on some phones you have to allow SYNC access to your phonebook. (Usually achieved by a message on your phone when you connect)

I had to on my Lumia 650

I did that part I think, but will double check when I pick it up. Is that the bit when it asks you for a pin and then you accept etc? If it is I did that already, but still wouldnt download.

no the pin number just means the phones will connect- a further step is required to allow the car to access the phonebook

you need to allow it access to the phone book from the handset. I'm using my LUMIA 920 and it works perfectly. Could be louder though.

I've said it can have access, and tried it several times, says its downloading and then hasn't.

Are you numbers saved to your sim and not the phone?

tbf when I have set mine up, if i press the middle button and sync says its thing then i say call..... it will call that person however when a text is received the display says the number rather than the name? any ideas?

Make sure when you are pairing the phone that you allow access to the phonebook when the option pops up on your phone. I missed that the first time with my HTC and had to un-pair and start again.
