Guest
Hi, I have bought all the genuine stuff to put the dress up kit on my mk7 fiesta, however the side skirts have me confused a little, everything else seems to be fine however on the side skirt fitting instructions it states that there is 4 mounting holes below the doors . I cant see any of these holes on my car, however looking at another forum someone said to use tiger seal along the top in combination with the clips that go in underneath the car. Any further understanding would be much appreciated.
E5GDM
Maybe you have to drill the holes yourself?
Guest
That's what comes into mind first however, there is no template provided or any online that has the correct hole positions, Since posting this thread i have read more into it to find that people recommend using tiger seal to hold it into place rather than the holes. Minkibiz
Dont drill it mate, use tiger seal thats what i did and mine have stayed on with no problems! Use 2 self tapping screws and washers at the front where the gromets are and 1 extra long self tapping screw and washer at the back on each side with loads of tiger seal all over them and 3m/numberplate tape on the top edge so that it sticks and also will make sure you get no tiger seal on the paint work. If you need any help let me know. Cheers Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
MPX309
I wouldn't drill anything if you you're not quite sure. Might drill through a cable or something?
Minkibiz
Underneath where the grommets are, not into the bodywork... use reasonable length self tapping screws and you won't hit any wires. I have done this with my car and have had no problems at all.
