So its been bugging me for a while- i can have texts read out to me and thats all dandy however my phonebooks downloaded but a text the screen only ever displays the number as ++447....

I have re paired the phone- allowed phonebook access- when I go onto voice of phonebook within the car it allows me to see the people.

Any ideas?

my query really relates to why doesn't it pick up the name of the person on the display rather than their number? At the moment when I receive a text only their number is shown rather than their name but a call comes through and their name is displayed?

Its the same on mine, I was going to see if I coukd see why but never got round to it, it is annoying sometimes if you dont recognise the number and texts dont make sense without knowing who its from

might just be the quirk- i have emailed ford so will update when i get a response

My Iphone doesn`t allow texts to Sync, is there a work around?

Ive read for iphones that you need to enable something in bluetooth on the phone.

I just rang ford directly and they basically said they had no idea and to talk to a dealer... great they don't even know their own products! haha

Where in the phone have you saved your contacts?

If theyre saved within the SIM.... transfer them to your phones memory instead. Long shot.... might work

Yes phone calls display the correct name and voice control allows me to call people.

Just texts only show numbers

I followed this and i can now receive texts through sync, it showns the name as well.

mines on my s5, i might give the dealership a call on monday or something to see what they say
