Hi folks just a quick one,,,,do any of you chaps chappets have a 1.4 Duratec engine obviously a good runner,,,that you may of removed from a fiesta,, my lad has a dead cyclinder 3 on his, one f the rings let go and has screed the bore pretty bad.

The other thing is do you need the ECU from the donor car as well if you replace the engine from the same model year car.

If you have an engine laying around doing nothing let me know and how much you want for,,,,it must be a runner and not an oil burning anchor....

shame you didn't say a couple of months ago. Scrapped it now.

The ECU, clocks, locks, key transponder ring, remote key all need to stay as a group for the immobiliser system to work.

If you're replacing the engine with an identical one of the same year etc etc then you shouldn't have to change the ECU
