Just Scratched My Alloy! :'(

Featured Replies

Not an happy kid.

Just curbed my wheel... high curb, didnt expect it, I pulled up along side it just fine, reversed back and the car scraped along the curb!:'( any recommendations? Advice?

Smart repair if it is not too bad, otherwise it will have to be a refurb.

My dealer recommended me a guy in my area after I went in to ask if their bodyshop could do it on my old car.

Would never know it had been marked, he did a great job.

Look around. I just typed "Alloy Wheel Refurb" into facebook for results into my local areas, then looked at their portfolios for ones that I thought did good service, I found a guy who did one for me for £50. . . You might find someone do it for less though.

I had a lexus on loan for 2 weeks, I kerbed 1 of the wheels quite badly, I was quoted £400 for 1. I took it to a guy who repaired alloy wheels, did a brilliant job and when it was handed back no one could tell. The repair cost me around £50.

I curd one of mine some years back got my demmell out sanded it down got a rattle tin in the same colour and touched it in and you could not tell all in all it cost me less then £10

LOL, That's insane. There is another place near me that specialises in alloy wheel refurbs, and on their website I was quoted around £170 (for one)

I guess it depends how much work is involved, I only paid £40 and he came to me :)
