Car Is Slow

Featured Replies

Hi I recently bought a Ford focus estate studio 1.6tdci 59 plate and it's pick up speed is very slow could there be anything wrong with this or is it just that slow.need help

With it being a Studio spec I guess it's just a 90bhp one? 90bhp in a heavy Focus is slow, even more so in an estate model I'm afraid.

It's also lost bhp output over the years - probably more like 75 bhp now

I'd advise a thorough service, including fuel filter replacement, & the regular use of a decent diesel fuel additive

Thanks for advice guys I was thinking to get it remapped to about 110bhp?what you reckon?

the turbo and the injectors are different on the 90 compared to the 110, I'm sure you can get some more poke out of it however but to get her to her full potential you will be needing some significant changes.
