Help Please! Focus 1.8 Tdci Rough At 75 Degrees??

Featured Replies

Hi can someone please help with a strange problem with my ford focus 2006 1.8 tdci ? ? Starts and runs great but when the temperature gauge reaches just below 75 degrees the car chuggs as if it wants to stall (but doesn't)and only when sitting at idle. If you lightly touch the throttle the problem disappears. As soon as the temperature starts to get a little higher to midway between 75 and 90 degrees the problem also disappears. No faults are showing up so is a bit of a head scratcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

When was the fuel filter changed last ?

Fuel filter has been changed, injectors tested, heavy duty battery checked, new alternator. Egr has been blanked off and deleted. MAF sensor checked and cleaned up with alcohol. The car is spot on apart from at 75 degrees. Above or below this temp its perfect. Is there something that happens at this temp? I.e temp sensor send's more fuel at 75 or thermostat opens at this temp? There is defo something significant at this temp.

Cheers
