Ka 2006 - Drivers Door Opening Problem

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have tried to open the door this morning and I could from the drivers side. The key goes a little anti-clockwise to unlock but the stops and I can't move it any further. I can lock the door easily and lock/unlock from inside no problem.

Whats the problem here?

Cheers.

UPDATE ON PREVIOUS POSTS: I had the water pump changed again and everything works good now - no squeaking etc.... The garage didn't charge me for it as they have done something wrong - !Removed! good chap. The millage meter broke again and doesn't display clearly anymore. Every time it gets to 100k - it goes back down to 98k.

Oh dear you arent having much luck - not surprising neither have I - My passenger footwell is now a swimming pool.

Try squirting some wd40 into the keylock and wiggle the key or give the door a couple of thuds from the outside.

If that doesnt work you will have to take the door panel and cover off and see if the metal rods are bent or stuck or the lock is a goner.

The Streetka is a pain for door handles breaking because of stiff , bent , twisted rods.

You sound like you should join me - I have a nice high cliff all ready and waiting.

A swimming pool??? What did you do?

I have put some mechanical oil in there which after some struggle allowed me to finally open the door using the key. It still requires a lot of wiggling around to unlock it tho :/

I will disassemble the door when i get some time off.

You make sure to solve your swimming pool problem ☺

Sunroof is now leaking at the edge where it joins the front window.

I just repaired the drivers door leak which was leaking around the window seal.

Its just one disaster after another.

I now know why its called a Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

No bother - it just "accidentally" went over the edge of a cliff after my foot slipped in the swimming pool.

Insurance company are being a bit sniffy about paying out the £10,000 - apparently one of their members is on here duh!!!!

LOL - I just have to pray nothing else happens to my KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! For the next year and a half.

£10k!?

£10k!?

Scottish sarcasm its widely used in Scotland.

You should read the comic "ELECTRIC SOUP" - It gives anyone unfamiliar with Scottish ways a perfect introduction with no need for further study.

In my case the series "the wildebeest" sums up the Scottish sarcasm and laughing in the face of death and danger the perfect slant on the Scots

during WWII and other conflicts as the cannon fodder...

We have no shame - we gave you Sassenachs Tony Blair , Gordon Brown...The list of Scottish plonkers is endless...

We should be ashamed but we are just sarcaustic about it!
