blue crush
Nice base to work with. Not seen a 3 door titanium model before! Lots of potential with this one mate :-)
Stoney871
If you need a second clear lens to replace the red fog lens I have one lying around plus a bulb holder & 6" of wire to fit. If interested P/M me and we can come to a financial agreement. eBay charge £30 + for the clear lenses and the bulb holders are nigh on impossible to acquire. I have the bits due to an aborted facelift bumper install on my previous Focus (Mk2. ) Sent from my SM-G930F
TomRickers
Looks nice mate! love the rims, and kinda wish I only had 3 doors now after seeing this... Looking forward to seeing some more pictures once you've done a few things! About your remap... been thinking about having one done to mine... did you have the car before it was re-mapped and if so, how much difference did it make?

Waited a while and had to make the 550 mile round trip from Brighton to Liverpool to get in mind! Glad you like. Will update when more mods are done in the next week or so... Iam2deck
Looking good so far! Nice to see what your planned mods are, might have to do something similar at the top of my project thread! If your open to suggestions from other viewers... I would; -Get a colour scheme running with painting brake callipers -Paint the grey grills a matching black to darken it out -Would use the same black or a really dark grey to paint the mudflap type things that are on, the grey looks very light to me -Black out the chrome boot bar, I did the same on my fiesta but wrapped it with black carbon vinyl. -Any thoughts on adding a dark black sunstrip at the top of the windscreen? Cheers Matt! I always have a list so I don't forget things! And I work through the list and cross things off as I go. I also add things as I go so the list never ends! Sure, suggestions are more than welcome. - I am trying to stick to a black and white theme, not sure white calipers would look good? They would get dirty really quick?! I could do them black too I think. - I included new grills in my plans (step number 22). - Yes I thought that about the mug guard things too. I will look at how difficult they are to remove and what sort of paint I would need to use on that type of material. - The chrome boot bar is deffo on the list! (step number 19). This and the front bonnet lip are a must IMO! - Yeah a sun-strip would be cool. Maybe not full black but a like a 95% tint would be good. I just wouldn't know where to get it done as I like to do most things myself. Not sure I could do that without making a mess of it! Thanks for the suggestions. All are welcome! Iam2deck
I think white callipers would look good, but your right, your main problem would be keeping them that way. I opted for red callipers (black car too) and they are exactly the same, dirty all the time but the boldness of the red does still come through so maybe the white would be the same mate :) If you're going black & white you should purchase a ford owners club sticker for the rear windows ;) they break my black up quite nicely! I mean the mud guards still tie in okay atm as they seem to be a similar shade to the grills you have, but when they change the mud guards are gonna look a bit out of place that colour xD I haven't regretted dechroming that rear boot bar I''m sure you won't either Joey! I've just ordered one off eBay, a black touring one that was recommended on these forums for £3. As long as you have a squegee (needed for all wrapping and pressing etc) it shouldn't be too hard. Only takes 10 mins as well :) Look forward to following this thread, goodluck with it all bud :)

I agree, the mug guards will need sorting when the other grey plastic crap is done! Just time and money! I'm sure I won't regret it either, you're look quality. Is it hard to carbon wrap them??? I may do the same! Sorry lol. I will check out the sun-strips now and that may also go on the list! I did tint the rear windows and boot of my Mk1 focus myself and that looked professional so maybe I am doubting myself! Cheers again Matt. Iam2deck
Time & money is always the case! More the latter for myself ahhh just want everything instantly aha.. Looking at performance upgrades now and gonna set me back a bit but happening regardless aha! Wasn't too hard to wrap the bar, it was more getting the chrome bar out off the back seperate from everything else to make sure the vinyl has tucked neat edges so it wont peel; as that might be the case if you tried wrapping it just from the rear as it is. The chrome bar is just that, a bar. With straight edges most of the way so it wasn't a paticuarly hard wrap to do. It was the first I had attempted at wrapping and came out great, little bit of heat, tension and squegee and job is a good'un! If you've done things similar in the past, I stress go for it mate whats the worst that can happen! Probably selling your self short, get on with it ;) No worries and thankyou!

blue crush
I reckon ford sea grey or some shiny grey with a sparkle to it would suit your grills than completely black maybe.

m1tch
22 hours ago, joeyjameslewis said: EGR? Sorry, I'm a noob lol. Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve, its a valve in the exhaust/inlet of most diesels - its basically an emissions thing but it simply chucks exhaust gasses into the inlet manifold which then sticks to the oil from the crankcase breather causing everything to get gummed up. The blanking plate is only a few £s and fits between the EGR valve and the intake manifold - should give you a bit better throttle response as well as a small MPG bump plus the fact that it won't be chucking muck into your engine. I believe this would be the guide: http://www.talkford.com/community/topic/217666-how-to-egr-blanking-18tdci/

No worries, its something to always keep in mind when you have a diesel, the EGR is kinda ok on a petrol engine as the petrol works as a solvent inside the inlet manifold, as there isn't any fuel in a diesel inlet manifold it gets caked up quite badly - you might also find that your remap might have also coded out the check for the EGR which can sometimes cause a check engine light. I would also suggest you invest about £5 in a bluetooth OBD2 reader and download an OBD2 reader app (the torque app is good) - will help you out in terms of checking the engine sensors, temps, boost as well as resetting or finding any codes that do crop up. Thanks so much David! Any app names? Are they Windows or Android based ones? Or will they likely come with the readers? Was gonna look into that actually. Torque is a pretty good one, there is a free version which is pretty good but the pro version is better, I have it on my Android phone and tablet, simple to just plug it in if you ever need it, I have a mini bluetooth OBD2 in the glovebox if I ever need to check anything. There is sometimes software with the readers but its easier to simply get a bluetooth reader and the torque app :)

I've had a quick look on the internet but can't seem to find any. I'm definitely interested in getting them for my Focus mk2!
