The black lines are caused by the wire running along the length of the bulb. To cure it the bulbs have to be placed upside down in the holder but the bulb will only fit one way. The holder has to be modded for the upside down bulb to fit.

You are like a bible haha. I guess with the bulb fitting in the 'correct' way, the wire would be ontop of the light, causing a line in the light beam, so you fit it upside down with the wire at bottom.

I just spoke to PW and they said the waiting time is a few week until the next ones come in. I asked him about cutting bits off and he said with his first sets, you had to do that, however he said with the ones hes now selling there is no need to cut anything.

How would you rate/review them during dusk? How do they perform mate?

Yeah I mean I drive with them on all the time.. Day and Night. Obviously I can recommend mine but I am a believer that you get what you pay for :)

Ordered a set of @GingerFlame's HIDS, for £20, give them a try, get some experience in fitting them. Also because I haven't seen pictures of yours Chris performing on the road. Thanks for the recommendation though, they're still in my watch list on ebay😏👍🏻

We've tested many HID's and have found the best... 35W 6500k is what I'd recommend, these give off great light without blinding others

We're also testing LED's for the fiesta, they give of good light but don't fit well into the fiesta headlights due to the size of the ballast on the back.

Any questions just ask :)

If its aligned properly it won't blind them anyway... Hence why I had 35w in the old car & went for 55w on the new one

@GingerFlame, so these arrived today mate... Instructions that came with them are a bit poor...

I'll attatch a few pictures and if you can, tell me what plugs into what?

The red socket... Black plug... And the metal spade type pieces... It also mentions using a 20amp fuse? I thought they plugged into headlight socket?

And these are... Mounting brackets? Do I need them?

Stick the ballast under your headlight

Not sure about the mounting brackets I never used mine but I'm pretty sure the spades go into the socket already present inside the headlight (for dipped beam) and the black and links connect together.

You should be good to go after that afaik.

@GingerFlame, can you answer my question above mate? I know you've got the same kit, so pictures of where yours are fitted inc. the spades etc...

Don't think I'd use the mounting brackets either mate. I can't figure out the way these wire up to be honest mate. The instructions are dire.

If I remember tomorrow I'll take a pic of how mine are wired and try and explain.

I bought a set from AliExpress 18 months (or so) ago.  Still going strong, think I only paid something like £11 for the set.

Haha no worries mate! I won't have access to them for another week anyway, im away so, but yeah cheers mate.

Remove the connector from the back of the existing bulb, insert the crimped ends into the connector. If you look at the back of the existing bulb you will see that it actually just connects with two male crimps. Basically you are taking the power from the bulb holder, through the ballast and back to the HID.Insert the HID bulb into the holder, insert the crimps into the connector. Cut a hole in cap at the back of the headlight cap and insert the rubber gommet into it. Now attach the ballast and voltage regulator box to the bottom of the headlight with double sided tape, don't bother with the brackets. All the connectors on the leads will only fit into the ones they are meant to if that makes sense. Please note that you may find that the crimps have to be inserted into the connector a certain way round for the HID to work.

Note: If the notch taken out of the bottom of bulb is on the opposite side to the metal strip then you will have black lines unless it adapted as stated above.
