Ford Ka iPod Connectivity

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Wondered if anyone could help me, trying to find out which iPods will connect to a Ford KA mk2 stereo via the USB.  As I've been told some will and some won't.

if anyone could help,  that would be great. Thanks.

All ipods should be compatible as they merely emulate a usb stick when they are in usb MTP mode (or DISK mode as apple calls it).

The problem lies with FORD notoriously bad SYNC software.

I had to update firmware and all sorts to get it to work properly and even when it works it can suddenly fail and need a complete reset to get it working.

Seriously i would just stick to a usb stick and avoid the ipod as the stick method has never failed - sometimes the motto KISS works!
