Is it difficult to install a double din radio?

Featured Replies

I am thinking about buying a Alpine ilx 700 double din radio.

What will I need for it. I know I'll need a new fascia. Will I need more cables?

Has anyone fitted this before. If so, is it difficult?

Thanks

Not got experience with this model, but have changed a few head units. What you would need is a 'harness adaptor' for alpine to ford. This just plugs into your existing loom and then directly into the rear of the HU. If you have steering controls you should be able to find an adaptor which will allow you to continue using them.

I've never seen an alternative fascia in a Fiesta. Would like to see how one looked .

Which model fiesta?

Is this a MK6 fiesta and does it have the triple din radio? If so the process is as follows. I did this myself with a pioneer apple play radio.

I found a video for you if this helps. If not let us know the model and I will have a look round for you.

Enjoy and hope this works.

Cheers

Ryan
