Immobiliser Chip Programming - Forscan? (Edit - Key Cutting)

Featured Replies

*See second post!!*

Following on from the other thread that wasn't well titled and was slightly confusing lol...

If I buy a non remote fob key with immobiliser chip, and have it cut by Ford to my VIN (or some sort of code in the handbook maybe?).  Can I programme the immobiliser with Forscan for a Mk6.5 Fiesta?

If not, does anyone know how much it costs for just a key cut, without the immobiliser chip at all if they even exist?

Also, if anyone has a working boot popper they'd like to sell me, that'd also be useful as I cant get into the boot at all atm lol.

Cheers

Tom

Just realised I'm an idiot...

The external lock blade will be different to the ignition barrel, that's the whole point of doing this....so of course the new key won't fit the ignition or need an immobiliser chip...

Anyone know how much it costs to get just a plain key cut?  And can they do it from the VIN or is there a code in the handbook somewhere?

Cheers
