Skippy19
Just picked up my Titanium Econetic Fiesta 15 plate after 4 weeks of a wait. I was absolutely delighted with it only to find after driving 2 miles the battery warning light was on. Took it back to the dealer and apparently a faulty alternater!!!!! Not sure when I'm gonna get it back and have been given a focus in the meantime!! Just wondering if the blame lies with Ford Direct or with the dealer and if I should ask for some of my money back since they haven't delivered a car as described!! Anyone else had issues with ford direct cars? I thought they would be a better shout than the forecourt but maybe not after this experience!! iantt
Ford direct cars are supposed to be checked over by rac approved centres and any faults rectified/ appropriate service carried out. Therefore if picking up from a dealer they wont necessarily have the need to check over again prior to handover. But saying that surely someone would have noticed the warning light on , even the valeter/salesman.
