car wash tips

Featured Replies

What are your tips for washing cars? Shampoo you use or rituals to get a decent clean.

Sponge or mitts. Hose or pressure washer.

seperate wheel bucket, brushes/microfibre mitt.  snow foam lance, two bucket with lamb mitt, dry with microfibre and some quick detailer.door shuts, vacuum take pics lol

Bucket of wash & wax, Rinse with clear water, towel dry with microfibre, spray with autobrite liquid gloss and 'buff off', do door shuts, wash wheels and use autobrite 'purple rain', rinse wheels and go over the glass with autobrite glass cleaner, redo body with autobrite project 32 high gloss/paint sealer then use a sponge to go over the tyres with tyre dressing. Finally, Hoover the interior and dust over the dashboard! Stand back (after 3 hours) and admire your handywork and pray no pigeons or seagulls 'drop one' on it!

Wash in rain; shoot gulls.

Can guarantee that nearly every time i go to a supermarket a seagull takes a dump on my car. Usually after i've washed it. Also need a bug exterminator as I wash my car on a weekend, nice and clean like you say and then monday comes along and my only route to work is country roads.... and in recent sunny weather I end up with a grill and windscreen covered in bugs ;(

As its already been mentioned incorrectly... Fallout remover is NOT wheel cleaner & when used on wheels/paintwork during every wash is a huge waste of product & time.

If you look back through old threads you'll see I've posted essays on what to do & how to do it, with recommendations & "stay away from" products :)
