OE Sony Headunit Compatibilty?

Featured Replies

Am I right in thinking that any of the double DIN stereos from Fiesta/Focus/Mondeo etc around mid 2000s are all interchangeable or not?  Got my eye on a few on ebay atm but just want to check as I can't find any instances of people putting the 'round edged' Focus one (SOCD1X) in a Fiesta?

I only want it for radio, single CD, working OE dash clock and column controls, not fussed by 6 CDs or dab etc.

Cheers

Tom

Mondeo ones don't fit other models.

Focus, Fiesta & C-Max are interchangeable though.

Cheers Clive (again lol!)

Missed out on another couple tonight, damn snipers!

Out of interest, why don't Mondeo ones fit?  Physically wrong or electronically?

The faceplate of the radio is angled to match the shape of the lower dash and the radio body is also deeper than a Focus type so won't sit fully into the dash carcase.
