I have recently bought a 2014 Ka and am very pleased with it so far. Anyway, today I noticed or stumbled upon, a mysterious switch under a cover at the very rear of the centre console! So out comes the manual and I delve through all the pages in the hope of finding the use of this mystery switch. Nothing in the manual and nothing on the internet either. The switch/button is under a plastic cover and has a red tip on the top! Anyone got any ideas please?

on my daughters 2010 ka the flap your on about covers a screw than holds the center consul in place.

 

Is that really all it is! Was expecting an ejector seat or something!

That's a nut and bolt with a cover on it ;)

Oh well that's a bit of a downer, thought i'd discovered something unique! To be fair at first glance it was the red tip on the top that made me think it was something to do with fuel cut-out or something. Have discovered today that there is another one just under the handbrake, so yes confirmed, for bolting down the centre console!
