Unleaded/super Unleaded?!

Featured Replies

The forecourt signs say to SWITCH OFF mobile phones...  Lets face it though, does anyone?  And has anyone ever seen a spark from a mobile phone catch fuel vapour alight in the filling station?

I'm sure I saw a Mythbusters about it years ago where it was basically impossible to cause any issues with a phone lol.  My phone is even waterproof, if water cant get in how would a spark get out?  Tbh I'm more bothered by the static shocks I get from the doors occasionally lol!

Haven't had a petrol daily for ages, use BP diesel in the Focus.  I used Tesco unleaded in the ST150 but that's running low already (tiny tank and 30mpg isn't ideal lol) so may try Momentum this time to see if the MPG or running is any better...

Had my black edition for over a year now done 7.5k miles , use nothing but unleaded fuel and it's spot on. Always get around 40mpg and no lag in power !

Don't understand why Shell cant do this, or anywhere else for that matter. Pop your card in, pop your pin in, fill up and drive off. None of the hassle of queuing behind people attempting to get a weekly shop, scratchcards and cigs. Just pay and go! (The main reason why I use Tesco too!!)

Man, those people who spend £20 on scratch cards and are probably on benefits, and their house is a horders paradise do my nut in.

I really don't get this anti-supermarket fuel thing. I've just sold my Focus 2.0 TDCi that I drove for 156,000 miles, almost exclusively on supermarket fuel. It didn't miss a beat and was running as sweet as a nut when I sold it.

Same here, we've been running our vehicles on supermarket unleaded and diesel for 8 years without any problems.

I've used supermarket fuel as soon as they started selling fuel, that's a long time. No fueling issues on any of my cars.

Not using them at present as I can get it elsewhere cheaper as the moment

I haven't used supermarket fuel too often but when I have I haven't noticed any difference with it and their prices being lower I can't complain.
