That is what i want but that is st fiesta mine is TDCI as stated on title can I buy one for tdci give me link if yes please

Thank you

Yes @Patrico777 they are available for your TDCI but i don't personally know where you could buy one from, let Google/eBay/Amazon etc be your best friend. Also it may be worth your while asking your mates which Garages they use as a good Mechanic is hard to find (they're ALWAYS very busy!),ask their advice & see what they suggest.

HA! Dump valves on a diesel - you can fit them but they don't work like petrol turbo engines - diesels don't produce any vacuum to open the BOV so it would need to be electronically actuated.

Also, the reason why you fit a BOV is the release the pressure from the system when the throttle body shuts - if you don't release the pressure then the air bounces back and hits the turbo blades in the opposite direction which can cause damage. Diesels don't have throttlebodies so a BOV is 100% useless on a diesel.

That's an awesome kit, wish they did it for the 1.4TDCi, makes sense for it to have the EGR blanking plate, I am guessing custom silicone hoses AND it comes with a catch can.

Yup fair comment & true. I also remember some Ricers using a downloaded MP3 sound clip of the 'WHOOSHHHHHH' & activated it via a switch on the gearlever played through a speaker under the bonnet!

Then perhaps just measure up the size of the turbo inlet and MAF and just order the universal hoses and pipes - part of the fun with modding is working out how to fit things to your car. Mine was self made using some left over pipes from another project and part of the OEM intake hose attached to a cheap air filter from Ebay.

I don't have the same turbo as yourself, but you might get away with simply attaching a cone filter onto the end of the MAF and retaining the stock intake pipe (and breather pipe). I would go out to your car, see how the MAF is attached to the stock air box, remove the MAF from the airbox and measure the diameter of the MAF. Most universal air filters are 76mm (3") but usually have adaptors to drop them down to around 60mm.

Ok so only way I could do it is not to touch the mas ???

As already pointed out the MAF unit itself is in red in the below image. the MAF is connected to the OEM air box by a few screws - they might be TORX bits but I can't see if they are or not (star shaped screws).

I have highlighted the parts in blue which should allow you to release the airbox and MAF - basically to fit a cone filter you need to remove the OEM airbox and connect the filter to the MAF.

Looking at your setup it might be easier to undo the jubaliee clip between the intake pipe and the MAF, unplug the MAF connector and remove the OEM airbox. Once the OEM airbox is removed you can then unscrew the MAF from the OEM airbox - the cone filter will then fit to the MAF sensor.

Below is an example of how the filter could fit - its the same engine but in a different car but you get the idea:

You might just need a simple cone filter and not need the additional pipe, you might need to get a bracket of some sort to ensure that the MAF and filter is supported - the main measurement you need is the diameter of the MAF but as I said, most cone filters have adapter rings that can bring the filter inlet size down.

I would need more info like where to measure ? Do i need to mesure the pipe that goes into turbo from there or the pipe that comes from turbo and goes to maf

You would need to measure the diameter of the MAF, on my 1.4 TDCi it seems to be a 60mm MAF, whereas the MAF on your car looks larger - it might be a 3" MAF which would make things very easy to swap over as most aftermarket filters are 3".

Is anyone able to confirm the MAF size on the 1.6 TDCi?
