You would need to measure the diameter of the MAF, on my 1.4 TDCi it seems to be a 60mm MAF, whereas the MAF on your car looks larger - it might be a 3" MAF which would make things very easy to swap over as most aftermarket filters are 3".

Is anyone able to confirm the MAF size on the 1.6 TDCi?

You mean that red box that you highlighted ? I will take it a apart when I have day off from work and measure it

    On my cheap cone filter I installed on my 1.4 TDCi I can hear the turbo spool down as well :D its only tiny though, the 1.6 TDCi is much bigger :)
