Ford KA Mk2 Higher Output Headlight Bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi,

I understand from the driver's handbook that the headlight bulb in a Ford KA Mk 2 is a 55w H2 type. I'm told that there is a higher output bulb that can be used for brighter headlights. Does anyone know what this is (and if its readily available)? I don't want anything weird, like blue, just brighter.

Thanks.

Not a good idea to put in anything higher you are just straining the already poorly designed electrics in these cheap cars especially with Halogen - most folks stick them in not knowing that the higher current draw actually requires a special setup! If it aint broke dont fix it!

Italian and electrics , never a good combination.

Philips do some great high lumen output 55w bulbs. Maybe consider these as an option? I have them in my car and they're far better than normal ones with no additional strain on the electrics!

PIAA xtreme white plus.
