SMG
So i have a 2004 street KA the heater was always blowing hot air regardless if it was on cold or not. So today I bought a new HCV and replaced it and it's not rectified the problem. I know the AC could do with a re gas but I'm stumped as to what else it may be? Hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
Omendata
There are a lot of duff HCV on sale - was it an original or a chinese knockoff? Test the HCV first and the panel control.
SMG
It is a brand new ford HCV. How would I test the original one and the panel? The controls are not the best the previous owner has pulled the panel out and super glued it in a fashion back together. Omendata
Hmm when you see stuff superglued and fibreglassed you should start to worry! Even if its a brand new HCV doesnt mean its good - there are numerous posts on here about new hcv's failing. Have you flushed the system but it sounds like the controls are fubar if what you say is true and they are supeglued up lol How to test it - have you gone to google and typed "how to test ford heater control valve"? http://www.justanswer.com/uk-ford/3sh21-ford-heater-blows-blows-hot-a-12v-bulb-plug.html
