Excellent news, they're already sold in the states like this.

If they follow suit with the next Fiesta it'll definitely be on my short list for the next car.

5 doors are far less aesthetically pleasing to me, that's why I got the Fiesta ST in the first place over the 5 door focus.

Saw that the five door ST was coming, my dad mentioned to me earlier on.

Just seen this on fb...5 door ST looks great and doesn't come with the impracticality of just 3!   I had a 3 door daily once...and only once lol, hated it and would never have a 3dr daily again. 

Plus you don't need tilt handles on a 5 door which Ford seem incapable of making correctly!

As with James. I disagree.

I've only ever had 3 door cars but actually, 5 door are better for parking at Tesco etc. Narrower doors = less chance of thumping the car next to you and damaging your (ok, his) paintwork. I realise that the *astard next to you doesn't give a *hit about damaging yours (or his).

Exactly. 

Also find it a bugger to grab the seat belt. It's way to far back on the 3 door.

For me as I have to sit pretty far forward, it's like reaching into the boot for it!

Generates more sales for the outgoing model and uses up more parts, bodyshells etc

new model hasn't been officially announced so no release date is known, ST version might not be out straight away anyway.
