retro fitting Mk9 arm rest to MK7

Featured Replies

Is this possible like the idea of having the arm rest and cup lights etc, dimensions look about the same, but wondered about lighting and also assumed the power output, Aux/ USB is one plug connection?

Anyone any experience with this?

It can be done but if you have a pre-facelift its all gear surround as well as heater surround as facelift comes all complete (gear and heater) surround.

Looks good but if you have seat forward your arm rest becomes a elbow rest as i tried this when i did mine in a car first and i wanted my arm on it not elbow.

Looks good.

Make sure the colour of the surround matches the dash! Not too long ago on a facebook page I saw one that had fitted the whole surround from the back right up to the secret compartment, his dash was grey with blue lower sides but the new surrounds was black and it looked very odd indeed.

Hmmm might leave it then and get a universal arm rest, as I do sit with the seat forward a bit.
