camera connection help

Featured Replies

recently fitted an after market stereo system. all working except the rear view camera. believe i can tap the wires from the dash screen, wire on an rca plug and connect it to the new system.despite looking online i haven't been able to find a wiring diagram for the screen so don't know which wires to splice in to. can anybody point us in the right direction or know which colour wires i need to connect to?

What brand/type is the stereo you have fitted?

It's a kenwood dnx 8160dabs

According to the manual I found its the yellow wire, should be marked rear view camera.

Correct but I need to attach a rca plug to the factory camera wiring for this to work just wondering where the best place to splice in to the wiring and what colours I have tried looking online for a wiring diagram for the camera but no luck

I think the bast place to splice in to the wire is the dash screen dose anybody know how to open up the connector looks like it should open up but not obvious how.
