Replacing Mk6.5 Fiesta Head Unit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was hoping to replace the Sony stereo (the standard one that came with the car) in my car with something a bit more up to date (touchscreen, inbuilt satnav etc.), I think I understand the process of taking the old unit out and putting the new one in etc.

However, one concern I have is the steering wheel controls. I have a 2008 Fiesta Zetec Blue and was wondering if the following unit:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Fiesta-Focus-Galaxy-Transit-7-Car-DVD-Stereo-Radio-GPS-Sat-Nav-Bluetooth-/191648637941

would still allow me to use my steering wheel controls. It says it comes with a device to enable use of analog steering wheel controls but I wanted to be sure before buying it. If it isn't compatible or you happen to know it's crap then please let me know of an alternative.

Thanks.

You'll be fine with that radio.

If the steering control is not integral to the radio then it will be a seperate interface module.

You should retain all functionality.
