JW1982 Posted October 23, 2016 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Do the seats have side airbags? If not you should first check the seatbelt pretensioners. The seatbelt pretensioners are basically small explosives that pretension the seatbelts in case of an accident. Just like airbags the pretensioners can only be used once. If the seats came from a car that was involved in an accident the seatbelt pretensioners are activated and needs to be replaced.The RCN (Restraint Control Module) monitors the resitance of the pretensioners. If the pretensioners were previously activated the RCM does not measure any resistance and activates the airbag warning light. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
