Advice - Fog Bulb Rolling Around In Lamp

Featured Replies

Long story short. Had to clean up the connector for the rear lamp... got it all working and when I've reseated it into the lamp itself the bulb has come out and is now rolling around in the lamp.

Would it cause much issue re: usage and MOT if I were to just fit a new bulb and leave the old one rolling around inside?

Trying to avoid removing the lamp if possible!

MOT: as long as the lamp works and the loose bulb is not adversley affecting the light output (unlikely) then I can't see how they could fail the MOT for this. could the bulb rattling about impact against the new bulb and break it? I don't know how easy it is to remove the lamp to shake the bulb out. If it was mine I would probably leave it.
