St180 calliper colours

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has changed colour of the callipers from red to anything else? I've got the spirit blue St and not 100% sure the red and blue go. I'd like to colour match the callipers but don't have any idea where I'd be able to get someone to mix calliper paint in that colour.

i paint my calipers using hammerite smooth , comes out a treat.

they do it in a nice bold blue as well.........

i use silver , which also looks good........

:-)

I've repainted mine in blue, nice to have something a little different. Colouring matching would be fairly difficult because our paint is metallic but it could be done. You would have to do a lot of coats + lacquer to keep the finish looking good.

What have you done to your headlights they look amazing. I've had paint custom mixed from a local paint shop before I'm thinking I'll go round and see if he can get me a heat resistant paint as close to spirit blue as possible.

Worth using a heat resistant paint, especially if you are using any spirited driving. Insurance might not mind the colour change, but they wouldnt like a non-specified paint.

And as above definitely use high temperature or brake caliper paint or it will peel off with the heat.
