DTC codes 2008 tdci

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone know what these codes mean: C140 and 9312, I found them using the menu trick when starting up.

If anyone has any information on these I would be very grateful.

Thanks

They very likely mean nothing.

Usually just cluster related data codes not fault codes.

there are lots of people saying on the internet that you can get the fault codes from the speedo console. Whilst I can't prove it, I think this only carries out a diagnostic test of the speedo console and only reports on that.

You can get very cheap fault code readers on ebay, particularly those which don't have a display on them and connect to phone by bluetooth or cable to a laptop. I have a laptop cable type reader. I personally think the cable to laptop is better then Bluetooth to phone due to different software you can use on the laptop. But it's not that convenient using laptop and making sure the laptop is charged.
