CD PLAYER WOES IN MK7.5 FIESTA

Featured Replies

I got my 2nd hand Fiesta mk7.5 about 7 weeks ago.

Today I used the CD player for the first time.

It was fine on the motorway but on roads in residential areas where the roads are a bit rougher the music was jumping / sticking like mad.

I have tried playing the same parts of music whilst stationary and it is fine.

I have driven these same roads to and from work for 16 years and no other cd player in my cars have done this (other than on major potholes).

The unit is the DAB radio with satnav built in (not the Sony one).

Is anyone else finding this?

Car 11 months old so I assume warranty applies to the CD player (I have not checked the small print)

This audio unit is completely built into the dashboard so it's not as if I am using a slot in CD/Radio that could jiggle up and down a bit on bumps

Have you tried other CD's?

I've not used a CD player in car for years - just put it all on a USB stick

What stoney said.

More than Likely a dirty lense.

I think I've only ever put one CD in my radio and it sounded pants compared to the DAB and my favourite mp3's off a memory stick.
