mTune 135 in the South West

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am the owner of a 2013 1.0 125 Fiesta - and loving the car. I am however tempted by the mTune 135 on the vehicle, just to give it a little edge and "keep it fresh".

How do people rate this? It's only +10BHP, but does it make a noticeable difference to the drivability? I'm still in warranty so keen to keep that aspect clean..

Are there any users around Somerset / Bristol that I could borrow their mTune set to test out the remap? I'm more than happy to give many beer tokens to help make up my mind !!

Cheers in advance,

Ray

Alternatively, if anyone else has any bright ideas for relatively simple performance modifications? The warranty I'm keen to keep inside is the "Trust Ford" extended warranty.

Why don't you have a chat with Tarnock Garage Ford main dealer in Axbridge who are Mountune specialists. Surely they would let you try a tuned Fiesta?

I think the sets are locked to the VIN

Think the mountune 135 is the only map to keep warrenty, and from what I have heard, I wouldn't waste my time. I'd wait till your warrenty is up if you're wanting to keep it, and then map your car to something that will make a big difference, bluefin, Collins performance, revo, pumaspeed.. they all offer stage 1 upgrades till around 150-155bhp. Which is far better than the 135mountune offer.

I wasted money on the MP135 and never again. Mountune are well respected and I love there stuff but offering 10PS for 500 note isn't worth it just because is "warranty friendly"

As mentioned just wait till you warranties up and pick one of the other tunes.

Alternatively you could go down the Mountune MR165 route. Most of the hardware is warranted but the tune isn't. The kit isn't  cheap but i highly recommend it. I've been running it for 35k miles without a single issue. Ford couldn't care less what mods you do, they just won't cover the work for free if your mods damage something.
