I have a 2014 1.0l ecoboost titanium.  My parents have a 2017 1.0l ecoboost titanium X.  We noticed today that the Titanium X doesn't have a 12v socket on the rear of the centre console or an Aux socket where the main 12v and USB sockets are where as my Titanium does.  We thought this was a bit weird and can't understand why Ford would do away with this 2 input sockets in what is a newer and higher spec car.

The rear socket was deleted from all models that previously had it during 2016, I hardly used it when I had one and don't miss it now.

Its easy to understand. They did it to save a few quid.

I find the one on the rear of the centre consul handy using my tyre pressure pump as it is live with the ignition off where the front one isn't. Does the front one now being the only one on newer models stay live all the time?

A bit like the latest batch of Foci only have 1 boot light now.

Yeah it's a shame, rear power sockets are really handy if you've got kids. A bit of a backwards step back in my view but that's penny pinching as you say. 

But then we only moan when the prices of cars go up, so they can't win.
