give me bluetooth?

would i need to change the stalks on the steering column?

Bluetooth is controlled by an external (CANbus) module.  This is the Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module. Just changing the radio will not give you Bluetooth.

If you want to retrofit the original Bluetooth/Voicecontrol you need to install the following parts:

* Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module (which version you need depends on the type and age of radio).

* Mounting hardware for the Bluetooth/Voicecontrol module.

* Microphone.

* Radio remote (stalk) with VOICE button.

* Bluetooth/Voicecontrol wiring harness (if the wiring is not present).

Or an aftermarket radio with integrated bluetooth.
Eonon or suchlike.

Is the remote stick needed? I thought that was just for voice commands? Also would this allow me to stream music from my phone to the stereo? I am going to do an Android install eventually but to be honest the retro fit stereos I have seen so far have not been great spec wise so am toying with the idea of doing a custom tablet install with an amp, more of a long term project though but in the meantime bluetooth streaming would be cool :)

My Xtrons unit has its quirks, but overall quite a capable head unit, especially with third party firmware.

It does look like a really nice unit it is the 1gb of Ram that has me concerned, Andorid is very bloated nowadays not sure 1gb ram really cuts the mustard?

This one looks good and has 2gb ram as well:

What does all this mean in plain English though?
