Projector lights Dim

Featured Replies

Hi People,

I have read lots about Fiesta projector lights being poor (for some ) on low beam, but not seen an answer as to why this might be.

I have a Mk7 2011 and at its MOT last month they put an advisory that low beam was not very bright, I had already swapped to Xenon H7 bulb as the halogens were so poor !

I have now swapped to Phillips Racing Vision, which are better but not great ( I have an old 1999 pug, with halogens and the lights are far better than the Fiesta).

When I put the Racing vision in, I had a quick look in the back of the fitting, there is a strip of metal going across in front of where the bulb sits, which is a matt black.

Does anyone know should this be black or not ? I thought it was odd that something matt black that would absorb light rather than reflect it ??

Thanks in advance

Mike
