Rear light crack

Featured Replies

My rear light has a small crack in it and fills up with water at the bottom I have emptied it b4 and it is quite full again. Would it be possible to use a sealant to fill the gap or am I am better off sourcing a new one? It hasn't had any effect on operation it's like a mini swimming pool lol

I'd get quotes from somewhere like www.partsgateway.co.uk and check ebay for a replacement, I wouldn't have thought a used one would be very expensive as it's a common item and it's got to be better than bodging it (you'll know it's there even if no-one else does).

I've used parts gateway a few times without and issues, the various sellers/scrapyards all have visible feedback a bit like ebay.

It can't hurt to give it a go, there are good all weather sealants out there. Worth a try first.
